Fenty Fashion is as badass as Rihanna

May was a very hot month for the fashion world.

After a not so overwhelming Met Gala, in which no one really seemed to have understood the real theme of the party, except for Lady Gaga, Ezra Miller, Billy Porter and Hamish Bowels, who really embraced the ‘’Camp’’ aesthetic and showed us how to create extravagant but also elegant looks, Rihanna presented her fashion house ‘’Fenty’’ in Paris for the first time, during a small press presentation.





From an historical and social point of view, this new fashion house represents a huge milestone: ‘’Fenty’’ is the first luxury fashion brand founded by a black woman and her house is the first one created by the LVMH group since Christian Lacroix in 1987. The fashion brand is also open to all sizes and colors without any distinction and the advertising campaign of the maison – art directed by Giovanni Bianco and directed by Glen Luchford – featured different kind of models who proudly show their beautiful ‘’imperfections’’.


The collection perfectly represents Rihanna’s style with her iconic oversized denim jackets, 90’s inspired sunglasses, denim corset dresses and pleated pants.

In conclusion, the power of Fenty lies in the fact that Rihanna, just like Phoebe Philo before her, is a woman who is able to speak to other women with bold fashion statements.
