Inez & Vinoodh ''Hi-Lo Transformers''

During this year’s Vogue Photo Festival, one of the most impactful and important events was the Inez and Vinoodh’s exhibition at Palazzo Reale.

It was the first time that the duo of photographers showcased a personal exhibition in a public institution in Italy.

The aim of the exhibition was to go deep into the realism of high tech to then subvert it.

The whole event consisted in a series of Inez and Vinoodh’s most iconic images that have shaped, during the years, our fashion, cinema and music.

These impactful images were also transformed into large hand-painted billboards hanging inside the Prince’s beautiful and richly decorated rooms.

The beauty of this exhibition lied in the dualism between the hyperrealism and the ‘’cinematography’’ of Inez and Vinoodh’s pictures and the artists’ style, which reinterpreted the iconic photographic style of the duo.
