Milan Design Week 2019

I am going to go over some of the best things about 2019 Milan Design week and why you should be in Milan at this time!

Design week is an annual international furniture exhibition, it’s a set of various events all over Milan done by different brands and designers. Milan is the most crowded around this time, everyone from all over the world comes in for design week to enjoy the crazy atmosphere. Show rooms by various designers are set up everywhere and they are available to everyone to go in and see the amazing installations, some of them require you to get involved, but sometimes design students get special invitations to cocktail parties and other exclusive events.

The most popular exhibition this year was the Missoni “Home sweet home” for all of the duration of the design week it was filled with people, as well as Selleti which caught so many people’s eyes with its colorfulness and I have to mention designers like Gucci and Miu Miu who also had amazing exhibitions and installations. There was so much going on in the University of Milan as well, there were always people there from early morning to dawn.

Milan Design week is such a busy time for Design Students, there is always so much to see, design week 2019 was amazing, I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 Design week has in store!
