Because of the pandemic, Milan has been under a strict lockdown which of course affected museums and art galleries as well, all temporarily closed to the public just like the restaurants and all the spaces meeting spaces.
However, the city is slowly opening and so are the museums, so in this article I’d like to give some updates on the situation and some information on the main open exhibition and the new rules set to keep the spaces as safe as possible.
First of all, all visits are allowed only under reservation and the tickets must be purchased at least one hour before the entrance either online or on the phone, also the number of visits at time is obviously limited to a certain amount. Group visits are still not allowed.

Starting from the Palazzo Reale: starting from the 28th of May, the doors of the Palazzo will be open from Thursday to Saturday. Along with the regular exhibitions, the temporal exhibitions about Tutankhamon (Tutankhamon real experience), will be open until the 30th August, the exhibition about George de la Tour will be available until the 20th of September.
Fondazione Prada on the other hand opened on the 5th of June: only the three temporal exhibitions will be open to the public from Friday to Sunday, the exhibitions being K, The Porcelain Room and Storytelling.

K is an exploration of the universe of Franz Kafka seen through the eyes of artist Martin Kippenberger, The Porcelain Room is an exposition all about historical context which led to the boom of Chinese porcelains in the western world. Story Telling is an exhibition dedicated to the contemporary Chinese artist Liu Ye.
The well-known Bar Luce designed the Wes Anderson will be open again along with the Ristorante la Torre.
The MUDEC opened its doors as well, but only of its permanent collection from Friday to Sunday and at the Hangar Bicocca exhibitions such as Cerith Wyn Evans, …the Illuminating Gas and Trisha Baga’s, the eye, the eye and the ear are open along with the Seven Heavenly palaces by Anselm Kiefer on the weekends only.
